I've worn some merino wool blend socks this winter, I love them.
Now the weather is warming up, I need some cooler socks, but mostly not cotton.
I need some that aren't 2" too long and have good arch support and cushion. Dang socks are expensive!
I wear work boots.
Any opinions/suggestions?

Check out the socks at sierratradingpost.com
I've had good luck there with socks specifically.

Stuff kinda comes and goes at stp but the socks I got that I really like are..
Thorlo brand.
Like I said it is hit and miss but stp has a ton of quality socks at about half price.
Good luck

I should also say that I wear them winter & summer. I love the thick cushioning feel and do not find them to be excessively warm.

I do a lot of hiking and the best socks you can buy are Darn Tough socks. They are expensive compared to others but they are incredible. They come with a LIFETIME warranty and if you ever get a hole in one they will replace it for free. I’ve been using them for years, I even hiked over 300 miles straight on two pairs and I’ve never put a hole in any of them. They have great support and are really comfortable. They come in a variety of lengths for different kinds of shoes.
