I get that server error every once in a while. If you hit refresh, it usually works. Been happening ever since we switched servers a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it works okay with the release tonight.

Are you going to retire the older 2.5 oz Bitcoin round?

I believe I understand many of the main pro's & cons of both sides of the argument, including from both the customer/collector/flipper perspective, as well as YPS's as a business.

But I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on pre-planned mintage numbers (including "unlimited"), versus "time-limit" production runs (as quoted above, for example).

Do you favor one over the other? Which one, and why?

And if you prefer limited-time pieces: All else being equal, would you be more willing to buy those, perhaps even paying an otherwise slightly-higher premium, unsure at the time of the final mintage, while knowing that they won't be available after a specified time (unless you buy in the secondary market)?

The floor is yours! :duck:

I don't have a preference when it comes to unlimited vs planned mintage. From a business standpoint I would think it's important to have both. If you want to get new YPS fans there has to be a certain level of variety available at all times. Having unlimited "stock" pieces (eg. 1 oz skull or 5oz cross) means everyone will be able to get a piece that appeals to them. You never know what's going to draw someone in. If everything was a limited mintage, people would quickly get frustrated when a pour they were interested in was sold out when they finally had the funds to purchase it. It's a balancing act, no doubt.
