Re: Trackchair Fundraiser
From Jim Bracken:
Randy,
The generosity and support from Bullion Stacker members is humbling. Purple Heart Chapter 1919 proudly and graciously accepts your proposal to fund a track chair for a deserving disabled combat veteran in Central Texas. We can accept donations via check or PayPal GIFTS. With your consent, I want to officially name the project, “Bullion MOPH Track Chair Project”.
We have a few administrative things to complete in the weeks ahead (add this project to website and FB, settle on a template for monthly project status report, inform Track Chair, etc), but the donations can begin immediately. If donating by PayPal, we prefer the GIFT to friends and family option – which means that we do not lose any of the donation amount to PayPal for a transaction fee.
I'm clearly not very bright.

Awesome, thanks for the update! Works been slow this year and my pit bull tore her ACL last week and going in for surgery next Thursday so money is tight at the moment, but I will definitely be donating by crypto when this option becomes available.

Good to see things moving forward. Is crypto integration for this project still in the works ?

Great, got a hunch the crypto donations will eventually outweigh the paypal. Which is great since we're just trying to get this thing funded.

Re: Trackchair Fundraiser: Updated with payment info
After much discussion, we have decided to try to do this project with the help of Jerry Sargent and the Wheelers for the Wounded Texas organization. (WFTW-Tx). There are several reasons we have chosen this route and we will move forward.
Jerry is working on getting a Coinbase account set up to receive crypto for charitable activities. Hopefully this happens very soon. None of us on this side are crypto savvy so just bear with us. We will make it happen.
I know a couple of folks have already made donations to the Military Order of the Purple Heart. This will have to be rectified of course. We will be in touch with those folks and get the funds redirected.
Okay...if you click on the Wheelers for the Wounded Donate button in the BULLIONSTACKER sidebar, it takes you to WFTW-Tx Paypal donations page. At the BOTTOM of the page is the Track Chair Donate button. Jerry has this set up as a SEPARATE WFTW paypal account specifically for these funds.I will have to get a more computer savvy person to embed a link into a "TrackChair Donation" type of button or link. It will hopefully take you directly to that account.
VERY IMPORTANT. IN THE NOTES PLEASE INDICATE THAT YOUR DONATION IS FOR THE TRACK CHAIR!
This way the WFTW folks can track the donations and make sure it is all accounted for.
We are also working towards identifying a recipient of this wonderful chair.

We now have a link button to the WFTW Track Chair PayPal account! It's in the sidebar or at the bottom of the page on Smartphones.
Thanks to Randy for working it out.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to get that up and running. I'm sure a few of us here will make it worthwhile

The link is up and working correctly now. Big thanks to Jerry for figuring out a workaround.

Is there any kind of deadline here? The ETH network is clogged up again (thanks FCoin) so I'm giving it a few days to clear up.

We will be accepting donations until we raise enough to purchase a track Chair. We plan on presenting it in May, 2019.

Is there going to be some sort of meter to keep track the progress?

I think Randy has planned on putting up some sort of meter.

Re: WFTW Trackchair Fundraiser
The first payment via Bitpay came through and worked fine. Unfortunately I think there was something wrong in the way I set it up and I did not capture who made the donation. I think I fixed the button for future use.
If whoever made the donation wants their name on the list shoot me a PM and I'll add it to the spreadsheet I send MaxGravy.
