From the article..
Bloomberg reports that South Korea's Financial Services Commission Chairman Choi Jong-ku said in a speech text:
•There’s high possibility cryptocurrency transactions could be used in money laundering.
•South Korea to suspend virtual account- related operations of banks if they are found to have broken laws related to cryptocurrency.
•Regulator also strengthen probe into cryptocurrency exchanges over price manipulation, money laundering, pyramid scheme.
•Side effects of cryptocurrency "serious"; regulator will consider all measures including shutdown of cryptocurrency exchanges.
•Cryptocurrency fever in S. Korea is much stronger than other countries; regulator won’t let S. Korea take the lead in abnormal cryptocurrency trading.

The market is climbing back, $726 billion now, up $58 billion in 90 minutes. Bitcoin is down 10% from 24 hours ago, but there are many alts down twice as much, and some down as much as 35%. That will equalize somewhat, because those who want to buy back the alts they dumped will do it with BTC. To what extent will they? I will be curious to see the BTC market share after this event. It was 33% before the big sell-off.

Still up over 100% in 2 months. You can cherrypick the dips out of any market if that's your agenda. Why, I don't know.

In my opinion, both sides could use a little humility here. None of us knows what's going to happen.

Astonishing point in that article: "Coinbase replaced YouTube as the most downloaded app on iTunes."
After someone took the trouble to read the article and then called Bitcoin owners dumb, someone commented: "In other news: The Flat Earth Society claims to have members around the globe."

I would have thought that YouTube comes pre-loaded on the iPhone. Guess not?
CoinMarketCap doesn't have an app.... yet. They are coming out with one and hopefully it defaults to milliBit prices. Not holding my breath though.

It didn't come installed on my now-ancient iPhone 6s, I downloaded it. I haven't downloaded Coinbase, though; I've only used it on my puter. I better get cracking and boost those stats!

In related news, Jamie Dimon is taken to the woodshed by his investors who he told to stay away from Bitcoin before it shot up 15X.

I made that up, but it could be true.

Managing the stress of owning bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

When you could lose 30 percent of your investment in one day, stress seems inevitable.
This unique asset requires a unique fortitude.

Yes, we have mentioned this before - it is stressful seeing your net worth increase (and then decrease) with great volatility. You know a perfect way to alleviate that stress? After your first 200% gain, take out your initial investment and then let your gains ride. This way you never lose a single dollar of your initial investment and even if it all crashes back to absolute zero, you still haven't lost a dime.

Been there, done it, Travis, and I still felt stress over volatility, though not as much because I could tell myself the things you just said. Of course, it defied the HODL gospel of Never Take Profits, but I'm not a big believer in absolutes. To each his own.
Then I (we) became responsible for other people's money in our projects and OMG what have I done.
