Recieved my goldback today from Doug . Very impressed with the quality and design thought it was well made and will probably try to pick up the rest of the set. As far as a metal based currency I'm sure most of us would like to see that someday. Thanks again Doug

Got mine too! It feels way more durable than I originally expected. I thought it would feel like gold foil that was laminated but that's not the case. Thanks!!

Got my goldback and I’m headed to my LCS to see if he will consider offering
this as a form of payment. I think there is a good chance that he will at least
look into it

How did it go? It would be an awesome development if we could get coin shops outside of Utah to accept Goldbacks.

He looked it over, kind of gave me a sheepish grin and said he’d do his homework.
He didn’t say no! I’ll go back next week and see what he thinks.

The effect has been most dramatic in Utah where United Precious Metals Association (UMPA) was established after the passage of the Utah Specie Legal Tender Act and the elimination of all taxes on gold and silver. UPMA offers accounts denominated in U.S. minted gold and silver dollars. The company also recently released the “Utah Goldback.” UPMA describes it as “the first local, voluntary currency to be made of a spendable, beautiful, physical gold.”

I'd be hard pressed to pay my taxes in gold, but glad to see SC possibly doing this.
