I have to agree. This years MPM tombstone bar is a step backwards from the spider version from last year. I ordered a few just to keep my set going, but I'm more psyched about getting some of the YPS ones because the design is much better. (and I have a YPS problem)

I love the new tombstone from yps this year I too will be buying a lot of them. Maybe keep the 100 gram tombstone and change it up like monarch does every year

2oz Railroad Spike

Assuming the pouring continues to go well on these, I will be doing a very limited release on Friday. I am going to make 50 of these (plus one prototype that went to MaxGravy). This whole mintage is more or less a prototype run. There will be different sizes in the future, and possibly a serialized run of 2oz like these, but will have a slightly modified mold.

I am hoping down the road to have a full size spike, that would be 10oz. 5oz will probably be the first regular production one.

The "17" on the head of these is for the year, not a serial number. Vintage spikes had the year forged on them. This run will not be serialized.

If all goes well, the release will be Friday at 8pm est. There will be a per person limit on these, most likely 1 or 2.

Sweet. I'm thinking there's gonna be a load of #18s available after the Holidays. I better start saving since I'm gonna have to buy the whole run.

Spike is definitely cool. I'm not sure I want to try and fight for the first 50, and would almost certainly hold out if you are pretty certain these would be a production item next year. So you're like 50/50 on that, or more like 90/10?
Interested in common date AU/BU Morgans - my Dansco book is empty and I need lots of holes filled.
