My base is mostly silver Maple leafs and 90% halves, I only have maybe 4 or 5 ASE's. I am more of a 90% guy myself, but I put SML/ASE as my base pick because sometimes I sell some halves, and so far haven't sold a SML or ASE.

Do you think halves have any advantage over Peace or Morgan $'s?

1) Morgan/Peace Dollars. Love them more then the new "modern" shiny stuff coming out these days and they always have a floor.
2) Barber Halves. In that order.

I voted 90% but I have no circulated 90% silver. Personally I don't care to hold circulated 90% coin. Guess it's a throwback from the last PM boom in '79 & '80 when junk silver sold at a huge discount to pure bullion.
I do, however, collect/stack/hoard BU original bank wrapped (OBW) rolls of dimes, quarters, and halves. I figure that when I get ready to liquidate, I'll bust'em and save any high grades, errors, varieties, end of roll toners etc, then sell whats left as BU junk. These, however, will be the last to go.

I guess after awhile folk's stacks kinda take on their own "personality" . . .The ol'halfhunter likes his silver new and shiny ! ! ! :D . . . Well, except for old pour bars . . .

My base stack is my Premium silver. The rest....generics, ASE's, maples Phils, bars, etc. I consider to be junk silver.....sell and you get spot { maybe } or a little more. Easy to sell when you need cash and easy to replace. My collector coins....Proofs, MS-70 s and low mintage coins are truely the base stack because they are less easy to replace and more expensive.

My base stack is lunar rolls :(

Going forward, I'll probably spend my $ on 10 oz bars.

SAEs and Libertads. I like the Philharmonics so that may be my next purchase. I also like Norfeds but they are not considered part of my base stack.

About 1/4 of my stack is CML - So I guess it'd be considered my base, though I certainly wouldn't have any problem giving them up. They were just my first big buy into AG.

BU / sealed roll Libertads are starting to catch up, those are the ones that are harder to pry away from me.

ASE's are the core of my stack and have been for the last 12 years. I feel like these will be one of the easiest coins to liquidate if the need arises. I have recently added Takus to my core with over 400 of them to date.

What form of silver bullion are you LEAST willing to sell?

Missed the "least willing to sell" part & had to re-vote.
That is not how I define "base", I suppose I was thinking "core"?
Bars are for storing quantities for sale or trade, Pandas/MCC are forever.

I'm least willing to sell; collections for the kids, Libertads and Pre-Columbian, MCC, YPS , and all sorts of Perth. Moose (misjudged that one  ), well, I'd sell those first.

That statement makes zero sense.
