Any Deer Hunters out there??

Postby Schwartzy » Fri Nov 16, 2018

If so, please be safe out there. In Wisconsin, our season is 9 days starting this Saturday. Be safe and post some pics and tell me about your hunt. Good Luck To All Going! Happy Thanksgiving! I'm outta here for 2 weeks! Below is a pic of my buck from last year and a cow elk I shot for free because my client left the ranch early. The whitetail went on the wall.

We have a few Albinos at the ranch but they are for eyes only for the clients, no shooting of course. Although we do have 1 or 2 sightings here in Wisconsin as well. A beautiful sight indeed if your lucky enough to see one!

We've had two albinos here in my neighborhood- one buck (haven't seen him in a couple years- he's probably a trophy now), and a doe that was eating in my backyard just last week.

Saw the topic for deer hunters...clicked it and first pick that shows up .....I'm thinking that ain't no deer. Please tell me he didn't shoot an elk thinking it was an oversized deer lol! Anyway, congrats on both! I just ran out of time this year. Work dragging me in for 60+ hour work weeks and didn't get drawn for any special permits over three states. Next year I hope to get a nice trophy somewhere.

I’m hunting our land in Catskill NY. Lots of activity out there today. Had a nice 8pt buck about 60yds from me in some really thick stuff, head down on the scent of a doe but didn’t present a shot. Decided to hike up a ridge that was loaded with Bear and deer track, and had two monster doe cross the trail 40yds out. First one saw me and boogied. Second one stopped broad side to me. That one is hanging in the barn right now. Lol Gonna head back out in a bit. We got some black bears in the 400-450 class roaming around so hopefully I can get one of those. The 8”+ of heavy wet snow although nice for tracking and spotting, cut off access to prob 40+ acres of our property.

Wanted to go this year but my back said no... I need to get in better shape for next year and do bow(crossbow) season... need to strengthen my core muscles more so my back doesn't pop out... fun and joy of a really really bad spine...

Is that upstate NY? I do a motorcycle rally or 2 up that way in Warrensburg And Americade in Lake George. The Adirondacks I look at and cry if I had to scale that terrain. Beautiful Area though Indeed. I heard you guys have some nice bucks up there.

Thank you everyone! 7 more days to go. Our deer camp shot a 6 pointer, I got the 10 pointer and my buddy's daughter missed a doe this evening. Wisconsin hunting seasons are awesome. Good Luck to everyone that's still hunting. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
