The old San Francisco Mint building, no longer in operation still stands strong. I have walked by it many times always wanting to see inside, but they don't give tours. You can book special events there, and this Halloween, they will turn it into a haunted attraction.
Maybe kind of cool to go in 'haunted' vaults form the late 1800's. But I'd still like to walk through it and see it as-is.

I have been there a couple of times years ago. It was cool. Got chastised for trying to utilize the furniture . I saw the vaults and they had marks from silver dollars crammed in so tight they marred the walls. They had an impressive gold display and a gold California bear figure they thought could be fake . I bought some mint souvenirs.
