Nice! We bought a 20 ft center console cause it was the best of both worlds and we had kids I high school.. didn’t want them sneaking down to the boat (using the cabin) with their girlfriends...my daughter would never do something like that cause she is an angel....

I guess working the weekends is not so bad when you consider that Monday isn't so dreaded.

I have 4 "weekends" left, then it won't matter...because I will probably not remember what day of the week it is.
I've been working weekends since I was 24 yo., very very few holidays off, and only 3 vacations of more than 4 days and none more than 7. I retire Nov 1st, 28 days.

Re: Welcome Weekend!
Counting down...3 weekends left (21 days) till I retire.
We had a special City Council meeting last night to decide how to hire someone to replace me.
I gave verbal notice of my resigning the job 7 months ago, written "90 day notice" 70 days ago.
Still yet, I'm judged for abandoning position with no one trained to take over.
Mayor said "I thought he was bluffing and he'd change his mind".
WTH! This is City water and Sewer department. Life, health and safety of over 3000 people...
But, self talk, ...only 21 days left...21 days left...21 days left...21 days left...21 days left...21 days left

Congratulations AG. Those city council members sound incompetent! Dont let them sweet talk you into staying to train your replacement
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Re: Welcome Weekend!
Tell them you're taking a month off. After that you'd be willing to return as a consultant @ 3x whatever you're hourly rate would be... and you don't work Mondays or Fridays... and you'll need an admin assistant... and an expense account... and you want to be paid in gold.
Seriously, ask for whatever. They procrastinated and you're in a good bargaining position. Do it or don't, but make sure you're well compensated if you do.
Congrats on a well-deserved retirement (or semi-retirment)

Happiest weekend to all!
This indeed is the happiest most anticipated weekend I've had in years!
My last weekend on the job. Resigning this job and semi/mostly retiring period. Thursday, Nov 1 is my last day!!!
God is great!

I woke up normal 5am today w/o a job.

... 4 day weekend for me! ....or 14 day, 40 day? I dang sure won't be counting!
People been asking me my plans for a few weeks. One answer= I keep an ongoing to-do list of projects etc around my place. That will occupy lots of time, lazily, on my new slower schedule. But today, (or a few weeks?), I'm not planning nothing, just let it happen! I've been planning and have had deadlines for 30+ years.

"Semi"... I still have my Business. I will continue to give a few days a month, picking the cream, non-stress jobs, but NOT chasing money, I enjoy work- ain't gotta work...I just gotta drop the stresssss!
Welcome weekend!
What day is it?
