check slickdeals.net for a few days
under hot deals section, then run a search
there are credit card sale sites as well, never used them though

ebay too, but likely not for visa cards

ebay is the worst place to buy gift cards as they go for full face value and a lot of time more. I do not understand how a $100 card sells for $120 bucks but it happens all the time

sometimes the buyers of gift cards try to scam the sellers so they don't end up paying anything for the card. I've also heard that people launder money by buying and selling gift cards to themselves on different accounts. Or they might have a crazy good cash back deal.

I know lots of time people use the Ebay bucks rewards to buy these giftcards. They don't mind spending over on the Ebay bucks since that doesn't feel like cash.

Craiglist sometimes has some good offers on these things if you are willing to meet up with people. Generally not the Visa style ones though

Last year for Christmas I got Visa gift cards for everyone. I got them at walmart, they were on sale...no activation fee, i.e.-$25.00 card cost $25.00. I Can't find any deals this year.

I'd recommend reading the fine print on the Visa card regarding fees before you buy one.
Sometimes Rite Aid or CVS will have deals to buy a Visa gift card with no activation fee.
If you have a Rite Aid in your area, keep an eye on their adds. They tend to have cash back (in the form of plenti points) on gift cards each week during the Christmas season. Each week, they usually have a few deals on restaurant gift cards and a few different other retailers.

all albertson stores right now have $10 off $150 coupons to add to your online acct before you buy at store.
granted, the $10 Q doesn't work, EVER ! They end up taking $10 off with a code at the service counter.
Buy the vgc with the correct CC ;-)

If we were allowed to resell vgc's, I'd be happy to sell you a few if I did this one particular deal, but that is a big no-no.
And the deal is limit one per person per day, the retailer got tired of selling out of this deal in a day to guys like me :)
So i'm not making the 30 minute drive to buy one gc.

good luck

The Post office will give you $2 off on $50 and up Visa and MC gift cards thru Dec 15th. Brings the activation fee from $4.95 down to $2.95 on a $50 card. Not a lot but something. That's where I'm doing my Xmas shopping. Couldn't be more convenient.
