I got $2 for lunch on a good day. Way better than plain white bread and a slice of "American" cheese....

It's $4-6/day now and I'm just not dropping $800-1200 on my son's lunch. I think my daughters grammar school lunch is up to $3.50/day :|

2 smelly things we gotta get rid of ......

here in Northern IL, the skunk population is insane. I sometimes see 2-3 new carcasses on roads per day.
Just awful

and our newest pest, the brown stink bug, seems to be everywhere all of a sudden.
they look like they survived from millions of years ago and I for one would rather have the dinosaurs roaming around :)

As soon as I had a car, we left HS at lunchtime, and got our own McDonald's. We being my brother whom I was forced to let tag along.

Did this every day for a couple school years, no death or disease from malnutrition.

I don't think schools let kids leave during lunchtime anymore.

Last month I went by my old school, its surrounded by 12' fence and bars now... If they don't want to be there let them leave... Fluff them!

Cannot force 'kids' to learn and behave.

most schools are closed campuses and the ones that aren't, at least in the wealthier burbs, have kids running to their drug dealers at lunch. it's a real mess. I went home for school for nearly my entire 1-12 grades, or fast food in my later HS years as I had a car.

BS site not messed up now. Weird.

In Jr High, I got $5.00 a week allowance. (I did about $50.00 worth of chores at home!)
School lunch was .75, I could eat all week and have $1.25 left, or $5.00 a month in savings.
On the crappy food days I'd skip lunch to save the extra .75.
In High School, I got out at lunch (only had 3 classes,1/2 day) for the work program.
I probably should've took more classes and worked less.

I cannot believe what some people will do:

Eyeball Tattoo Leaves Model In Pain And Partially Blind

But that's essentially what sclera tattooing is: using a needle to inject ink into the whites of your eyes (otherwise known as the sclera) to change their color.

anyone know of a listing / info on a Mickey Mouse 1oz Sixty Year silver round, has 1969 on front side, backside is 1928-1988. Mickey is in a spacesuit. Believe it was made by Rarities Mint, big R underneath the 1969 on front side.

I just can't find this bar anywhere. Just spent 20 minutes at ebay, think I'm just searching for it wrong.
thanks for any help / link.

This 45-foot statue of a naked woman could be coming to the Mall for four months

A 45-foot-tall statue of a nude woman, weighing in at 16,000 pounds, will greet visitors on the Mall for four months if activists have their way. They say the steel statue would stand in a yoga mountain pose near the Washington Monument facing the White House, depicting a strong woman feeling confident in her body.

The massive artwork would be the main attraction at the annual “Catharsis on the Mall” in November — a festival in the nation’s capital dubbed a “Burning Man” for Washington. Burning Man, an annual desert festival outside Reno, Nev., is known for building a hippie-like community that promotes art, self-expression, inclusiveness and civic engagement.
