Robert it's not Crypto, it's that so many BS member's are diehard Pat's fans and we are preoccupied with winning OUR 6th Super Bowl. I know you are a TB12 fan club member
Crypto is definitely a part of it, but it has been almost 10 years now since the GFC, and 6-7 years since the PM bull peaked. Anyone who was going to get into PMs due to the rigged system is already in. The "new money" isn't flowing in (in the U.S.) but just the regular buys of people who are already stackers. The younger crowd is likely more interested in crypto than PMs for multiple reasons.
Your average college grad, 5 years out of college was just graduating high school when the big stock market crash happened and perhaps he remembers that craziness. Then they are over burdened with student debt, looking at high real estate prices, can't afford to have kids, holding off on marriage, etc. So the little $$$ he has left over isn't going into stocks which might net him 5-15% annually, or PMs which have netted negative returns the last 6 years. If he can save any money, he takes a punt on cryptos because if he can 10x his $1,000 that is real money. PMs might be the smart, conservative, long-term play but he has to worry about finding and affording a lady, kids, a mortgage, while incomes stagnate. One thing is for sure: it has nothing to do with the Patriots
