could be that mnyman was nominated to make his Son's lunch and screwed it up or actually forgot to make one, so he went and bought a burger, dropped it off at school, school made his Son eat it out of view so those who don't have a parent who did bring his Son a lunch will not get upset :shifty:

I hope he didn't mess up his breakfast too...

I never realized that HS kids needed someone to make their lunch for them. I hope my kids didn't starve all those years.

I had no bread in the house for his pbj, so I decided to treat him to mcd's.
yes, kids around here from all sorts of parental backgrounds get their lunches made for them. If I didn't pack his lunch, he'd grab 4 or 6 bags of chips and that would be lunch many days
and the lady who heard me say mcd's didn't mention it to anyone, so he ate in the lunch room with his friends.

he's almost 15, he can finally make his own breakfast.... :|

I got $2 for lunch on a good day. Way better than plain white bread and a slice of "American" cheese....

It's $4-6/day now and I'm just not dropping $800-1200 on my son's lunch. I think my daughters grammar school lunch is up to $3.50/day :|

2 smelly things we gotta get rid of ......

Postby mnymgr1 » Tue Sep 26, 2017

here in Northern IL, the skunk population is insane. I sometimes see 2-3 new carcasses on roads per day.
Just awful

and our newest pest, the brown stink bug, seems to be everywhere all of a sudden.
they look like they survived from millions of years ago and I for one would rather have the dinosaurs roaming around :)

As soon as I had a car, we left HS at lunchtime, and got our own McDonald's. We being my brother whom I was forced to let tag along.

Did this every day for a couple school years, no death or disease from malnutrition.

I don't think schools let kids leave during lunchtime anymore.

Last month I went by my old school, its surrounded by 12' fence and bars now... If they don't want to be there let them leave... Fluff them!

Cannot force 'kids' to learn and behave.

most schools are closed campuses and the ones that aren't, at least in the wealthier burbs, have kids running to their drug dealers at lunch. it's a real mess. I went home for school for nearly my entire 1-12 grades, or fast food in my later HS years as I had a car.

BS site not messed up now. Weird.

In Jr High, I got $5.00 a week allowance. (I did about $50.00 worth of chores at home!)
School lunch was .75, I could eat all week and have $1.25 left, or $5.00 a month in savings.
On the crappy food days I'd skip lunch to save the extra .75.
In High School, I got out at lunch (only had 3 classes,1/2 day) for the work program.
I probably should've took more classes and worked less.

I digress...

I cannot believe what some people will do:

Eyeball Tattoo Leaves Model In Pain And Partially Blind

But that's essentially what sclera tattooing is: using a needle to inject ink into the whites of your eyes (otherwise known as the sclera) to change their color.

anyone know of a listing / info on a Mickey Mouse 1oz Sixty Year silver round, has 1969 on front side, backside is 1928-1988. Mickey is in a spacesuit. Believe it was made by Rarities Mint, big R underneath the 1969 on front side.

I just can't find this bar anywhere. Just spent 20 minutes at ebay, think I'm just searching for it wrong.
thanks for any help / link.
