Stay safe guys.
That winter storm is dumping 2' of snow in South Dakota.
The hurricane / storm in the Gulf is going to hit soon too.

Good luck

We had tornadoes last night just South of town. More than a few houses were hit in a fairly long path.

We are having an extreme red flag warning for wild fires here in So Cal today.
Go figure, the wife wanted me to bbq today. With my luck, as soon as I lit the coals, I would have a drone doing a flyover, unless they are on shut down too. :shh:

87 and humid today here in PA :? Supposed to be done with that nonsense in September. October is supposed to be 60s and 70s and low humidity. :x

In all seriousness I can't complain. No tornadoes or hurricanes or blizzards or flooding or drought or wildfires here at the moment. A big "stay safe" to those facing that kind of stuff.

My brother is on the panhandle. He is prepared as we always are. We've been through some major storms over the years so many times we can prep in our sleep.

My SAR unit has been put on ready status.

I see where the plains, Minnesota will get hit real hard today.
Gulf moisture and the leading edge of the snowstorm, great mix for tornadoes.
Our big day in Chicago looks to be tomorrow when it moves East.

I actually went outside last week when it was drizzling, hadn't seen a nice slow calm drizzle in so long. Almost always thunderstorms lately.

Scattered rain moving through today. We have winds from the southeast which only happen when there's a low in the gulf. Forecast calls for heavy rain when the almost hurricane collides with the cold front from the northwest. High tomorrow mid 80's, high Sunday upper 60's...not a great situation.

Flash floods and a city-wide power outage in mid-Missouri. Most of my truck tires were submerged when I found it.

In case any of you saw my city on the news today, we are ok. Pretty strong tornado hit here and lots of businesses and homes were either totally demolished or severely damaged. We were very lucky in that it started about a mile from my house. We have two rental houses that will most likely be demolitions though. We are safe and unharmed but many were not so lucky. The worst part is more severe weather is forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

Hardest hit has been the Arkansas communities.
Can't wait until we control the weather...maybe when I'm in my 90's
