It's amazing that 30 years ago his wife, according to the article, was asked by doctors whether to pull his life support. Good thing that she said no.

Definitely one of the people I looked up to growing up. His legacy will not disappear into a black hole.

I really liked reading his theories. It was like an acid trip but ended when you put the book down. What a great mind.

I don't miss him at all.

I'm glad he is dead and out of his misery.

Hawking lived on grant money, and he had a big reputation. Who could deny his request for funds?

Think about all of the 25 year old physicists now struggling for money. That is our future.

Quit whining about Hawking, we are better off without him.

If you cannot get a job at Starbucks with a Physics degree I wouldn't say it's Hawking's fault. And what 25 year old is not struggling with money?

Engineering or Math would be a good place to start. Maybe Healthcare.

Go ahead libs, let me have it. I think we're better off without Hawkins.

There are plenty of jobs for people who are educated in science, math, and biology.

If you get a degree in Arts, Psychology, Social Work,or Business Administration, you're doomed.

Now, it is time for you to apologize for your ignorance. Grow Up.

I didn't take physics in high school or college, and didn't really know anything about him until I saw him recently on "Big Bang Theory" show reruns. I have to give it to him for being a fighter though.

Physics is intagral to developing dam near everything.

My uncle is an astrophysicsist and devlopes rockets and missles for Lockheed Martin and other government contractors.

If NK knew a bit less in this subject we wouldn't have to worry about the whole nuke thing. Hawking and Einstein did the same work. Basically invented the A-Bomb (with the help of a team) and won WWII.
