Kids bodies flush that stuff right out of them, while us oldsters get vascular disease. I want my kids to enjoy their remaining kid years so I don't restrict their diets too much other than avoiding salt at every step. If they are used to less salt, their adult years will be easier to maintain with no/little salt. And we take an iodine supplement (lugols) once in a while since salt is where most iodine in Western diets comes from.
Mostly correct John. But, their bodies don't flush the stuff out. Correct, the healthier the lifestyle at the early ages the less atherosclerosis. Also correct the older you are the more prevalent. Reference the ongoing studies by the military from Korea to now.
"The researchers note that the prevalence rates found in this study demonstrate a decline from the rates of 77 percent noted in the Korean War, 45 percent in the Vietnam War, . . . A follow-up report in the Vietnam War era, along with a number of autopsy studies in the civilian population provided additional evidence that the onset of atherosclerosis may occur at an early age
. . . to (now) the overall prevalence of coronary or aortic atherosclerosis was 12.1 percent . . . Since the publication of these studies, health policies have been implemented to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease associated with risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, and smoking . . . (Researchers) add that targets for further improvement remain."https://media.jamanetwork.com/news-item ... e-members/
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, . . ." Credited to Goebbles.
