If you don't want the rank displayed under your name then you may wave it or choose a lower rank. For example, a $50 donation but you prefer to be in the silver rank.

:turtle:

Now that's just silly. Obviously, the levels should be 1/10 turtle, 1/4 turtle, 1/2 turtle, 1 turtle, 2 turtle, etc...

I would strongly suggest that we never make non-contributors feel unwelcome though. Everyone needs to start somewhere and if someone wants to be a member without paying, this should be ok with everyone whether they pay or not. If non-paying members are made to feel they are a lower class it will be tough to keep / add new members and turn them into paying members.

As long as this remains our priority I see no problems. Although it is not just between paid and free members. If there is a divide between the bottom paying ring and the top it will just create further in-fightin and bs drama that no forum / group needs.

Its not about labeling yourself the best of the best or richest of the rich but solely about helping the community grow as a whole.

Since memberships are being offered yearly , we should have a stated yearly goal and work to achieve that and beyond.

No, as I understand this is to remain a free site open to all. This was the basis of the founding of BS and it will continue with the original values. The current effort is only aimed at helping fund the site from those who have benefited personally from the deals here. If you cannot contribute then you can continue on as you have before. Donations just relieve Randy & David of the expenses to maintain the site and allow them to add the enhancements we want. Truly a community effort and nothing more. Now, there may be a few contests and such only open to donors but all the B/S/T that is the core of BS will continue free for all.

Well, looking at spot prices right now, platinum should be $25 and gold should be $100.

What's the current spot price for turtle shell?

I see the new Support BS page , with the four levels available. Are we good to send funds over? :turtle:

Also , are we able to upgrade levels after the fact? If I purchase a gold level today , and in a few weeks can upgrade to turtle or plat for the additional $25 or $75 is that possible?

This website has saved me more than the support amount, and for that I am grateful.
Thank you BS
