Carry The Load Rally - New Braunfels, TX

Postby MaxGravy » Tue Apr 16, 2019

This isn't a WFTW event, but it is a very worthy cause.

Tuesday May 21, 2019, 12 – 5 PM
Carry The Load - New Braunfels Rally
444 Tubing Company
444 E San Antonio St
New Braunfels, TX

Once again the guest speaker will be moonwalker Retired Brigadier General Charles M. Duke. I met Charlie Duke last year and got to chat with him backstage for about 20 minutes. It was an incredible experience for a space nut like me, one that I will never forget.

From wikipedia:
Charles Moss "Charlie" Duke Jr. (born October 3, 1935) is an American former astronaut, retired U.S. Air Force officer and test pilot. As Lunar Module Pilot for Apollo 16 in 1972, he became the tenth and youngest person to walk on the Moon.

Duke has logged 4,147 hours flying time, which includes 3,632 hours in jet aircraft; and 265 hours in space, plus 20 hours and 15 minutes of extravehicular activity.

A resident of New Braunfels, Texas, he is currently chairman of the board of directors of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation.
Quarantine is when you restrict the movement of sick people.

Tyranny is when you restrict the movement of healthy people.
