Blue Angel and RyanEOD are out here at the WFTW main event today. Having a blast and a LOT of Wounded and their families attending. Everyone is out on the trails right now and will be returning for BBQ AND music a little later.
We are also going to distribute the silver bars donated by Bullionstacker members and made by YPS. cool stories to share and many photos. I will post them up later. We have over 300 wounded and combat veterans out here today, away from hospitals and therapy and having a ball. Lots of smiling faces. Bullionstacker members should be very proud of what you do for these veterans.

Miss you out here MaxGravy and Splunky.

We miss all y'all as well! For those that don't know, Splunky broke her ankle Tuesday so we're not able to attend the event this year. She needs to keep it elevated as much as possible until surgery on Tuesday, and I'm not about to leave her home alone. It's sad that we have to miss out but it's fortunate that we have friends in town for the event. Jim's been here for a few days running errands and I put Ryan to work when he got here last night. DRP270 met us at the specialists office yesterday which was very much appreciated. Thank you gentlemen. It's been a stressful week.

Can't wait to see the pics and hear more stories from the park, especially pics from the shooting range. :shh:

The 2016 Wheelers For The Wounded event has come and gone. It was a huge event and a big success. There were a lot of people in attendance and 3 buses arrived with the wounded and their families.

On Friday, the day before the event, we got everything set up and got in a little bit of wheeling. MaxGravy let us use his Jeep and we took it out and had a great time. Then in the afternoon, we went to the gun ranges on the property. One of our wounded has a Class III license and brought out a very nice .30 caliber machine gun with a couple cans of ammo all belted up. The high bidder won the right to shoot it all but let everyone have a turn. Very, very cool and fun!

You may notice this owner/veteran has no legs. Doesn't slow him down one bit and his name is Kannon. He went to a lot of trouble bringing out this weapon.

That is the president of WFTW, Dan Engerran (Stouttrout) in black.

High bidder and the WFTW Emcee, Buddy Cabiness shooting.

We even had a couple of youngsters get behind it.

And there is Blue Angel shooting.

The club also rents the M4 and is very nice. The gun runs very well with the muzzle brake.

First thing early Saturday is the drivers meeting, before the wounded arrive. I think there were over 200 Jeeps and buggies as well as some side by side Razors. The safety and trail guides are handled by the Fort Hood Military Jeepers Club. These guys are pros and very well organized.

The CJ in the middle was a sweet surprise. A wounded vet from the 2015 event has since left the army and works as a tech at a local offroad shop. He has been doing upgrades to this Jeep for the past few weeks and had no idea it was bought for him by his girlfriend. She presented the key to him first thing Saturday and he took out wounded in his rig.

Our wounded and their families sit right up front and are treated as the VIP's they are.

The Marble Falls Home Depot sets up a "kids zone" and they make bird houses, planters, boats, etc. They take care of EVERYTHING!

My good friend Ray Singletary and a wounded commander from Fort Hood. Ray let him drive all day and he had an absolute blast!

One of the many Jeeps in line waiting to load. There was a bunch of US Coast Guard that facilitated all the load out and safety of the occupants. Again....these guys are pros and made it happen.

The new Expedition camp trailer set up right next to the main stage. We sold a lot of chances on this thing and will be buying a Jeep for a wounded vet in 2017.

Some of the bad azz buggies that ran the "wild" trails.

Parking like this is an offroad "Thing". Always hearing......."give me something to climb on man!"

You guys may remember the auction to benefit the memory of Fusion's father in law, Jerry Jones. RyanEOD was the high bidder and was promised a flag flown in combat in Afghanistan. Some guys showed up and hand delivered the flag to Ryan and they have been back in the USA for only a few days. VERY cool......

And this is why we do it.

This is my friend Ryan. He rode with me the first year I was involved with WFTW. He had just gotten back in country after being wounded and had a lot of issues. This is Ryan and his son Preston in their new Jeep this year and they took out some veterans.

It is coming full circle........

Nice job Jim. Sorry I missed it this year.

I have one question for you, did Ryan make you wear the blond wig?
