My pleasure. Here is how I see it. Many of the reasons people get into PMs are the same reasons that I got into crypto. Uncontrolled debt & untrustworthy politicians, fractional reserve lending, banks (not governments) controlling the money of the citizenry, etc.

I would hate for people to be RIGHT on thinking they needed to hedge themselves against the inevitable dollar (fiat) collapse, but WRONG on the best method to hedge against it. PMs are a great hedge, and store of wealth but they are obviously manipulated by the people that control the system. It is corrupt, but there is nothing that I can do about it. Bitcoin and crypto give us an additional hedge, and are also superior to PMs in many ways (borderless, fast, open source, based on mathematical algorithms, mined at a constant and steady rate, etc).

So if we choose to hedge against this dollar downfall, doesn't it makes sense to at least have a position (5%) in an asset/currency that specifically desires to achieve that end result? I want all BS members to be able to look back and say they at least had the education and opportunity to enter the market at the very early stages. Ignorance will not be our excuse. I do not believe in equality of outcome, but as close as we can get to equality of opportunity.

3) You will NEED to sign up for the WhiteList when it is released (likely with the next 24-72 hours). I'm sure they will send an email out to all those signed up, once it is ready. You will need to input your email, and ETH public address into the whitelist and acknowledge you aren't from a restricted country.

The While List is live. If you wish to join, follow these steps:

1) Go to: https://www.decent.bet/ and click the "Join the Whitelist" red button on the top. Input your email, create a password, and re-enter the password. Create your account.

2) Click the link in the email that the DBET team sends you. Login with your info.

3) Once you're in, click the "Whitelist your ETH address" button, and copy and paste your ETH public key address.

You only have about 2 more days to join the WhiteList. The crowdsale starts on 23 SEP.

Good luck.

In MEW you can add the DBET custom token as follows (EDIT: this is for version 1 of the token, there is now a v2):

Address: 0x540449e4d172cd9491c76320440cd74933d5691a
Token Symbol: DBET
Decimals: 18

This will show your DBET balance immediately following a contribution to the ICO.

Getting close to 3 hours in and the team has raised $10 million so far. They will raise a total of $25 million. I think the $10k cap definitely helped let everyone get it, otherwise some whales would have bought up a large chunk right away. This one may go for 24 hours or more.

If you are tracking on Etherscan, it appears that only $5.7 million has been sold at this point in time.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x540449e4d172cd9491c76320440cd74933d5691a

However, I also noticed that when I searched for DBET on Ethplorer.io there is a second ETH address. I am speculating, but I think this is the address that the team sold off to Blockchain Labo for the Asian partners. I could be wrong.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x7be601aab2f40cc23653965749b84e5cb8cfda43

Anyway, that at least explains the discrepancy between the amount sold on their website, and what shows up on Etherscan for the contract address. When you add those two addresses together, it adds up to the listed amount sold: https://www.decent.bet/ico

DBET ICO is now over half sold. $13 million complete. The white list portion is now over and anybody can invest any amount. There have been over 6,500 transactions to this ICO, meaning that this token will be very well distributed once it's complete. There have been some ICOs where 5-6 big whales have 90% of the supply, which has its own inherent risks beyond just not being very decentralized.

I thought this one would sell out sooner, based on the internet buzz, but apparently there were a lot of people that were wanting in, just with smaller amounts of money, and many who were also likely newer to crypto (based on some of the obvious mistakes some of the accounts were making).

DBET ICO is now over and complete. They did not sell out which actually boosts any investors overall percentage ratio of coins. They expect to roll out their first working casino games where investors of DBET coins can choose to be the house in Q1 2018. If you were a US investor and couldn't partake in the ICO, you can now acquire on EtherDelta (not for the faint of heart), or wait for a couple more larger exchanges to list DBET.

Admittedly the gambling platforms across the crypto space have not been performing well thus far. Peerplays is under ICO price, Wagerr is too. Edgeless is obviously higher, but down over 50% from its ATH (all time high). The issue being these other projects do not yet have a working product. For some it is too early, others are behind schedule or have made some development or business errors. While all are recoverable, it hasn't been pretty thus far. Let us hope that DBET can right the ship of decentralized gambling, and actually get users onto their platform. They have the best energy and communication of the 4 projects I've just mentioned. We'll see.

This interview happened 3-4 days prior to the ICO, but still some good data in here regardless. The Dollar Vigilante features DBET:

Just received this email from DBET. Currently my tokens are in MEW. Should I create the DBET wallet and move them there?

Our Dev Team has been working hard to deliver an amazing user experience. Get ready to see the vision come to life "Our House Is Your House"

Decent.bet is pleased to announce

A token version upgrade from version 1 to version 2

The upgrade includes the following improvements:
Gas efficiency: throw() calls are replaced by revert() calls. This saves our community members gas in case they submit transaction calls that fail. In the version 1 token, they would lose their transaction gas, but in the version 2 contract, the gas will remain in their wallet.
Code refactoring: Now that the ICO is complete, the new token refactors out the ICO-related code for a cleaner codebase.
Token supply calculation: The new token version calculates and allocates the team vault, house fund and other token supply calculations based on the final ICO sale allocation.
SOME NOTES
Tokens can be upgraded easily through the new Decent.bet wallet. They can also be upgraded through other wallets.
Some gas is used in the upgrade process, so Decent.bet wallets will need to have some ether in them to do a successful token upgrade.
When tokens are upgraded to the new version, the old version tokens are burned and thus no longer available.
Source code for both the old and new token versions are viewable and verifiable on Etherscan. The new Decent.bet wallet displays both contract addresses in the Token Version section, for easy reference and transparency.

Yes. The original DBETs will be "version 1" and basically worthless. You need to upgrade through the wallet software to the "version 2" DBETs. I still need to do this too. Follow the video:

No problem. I upgraded to the new v2 token this weekend after downloading the new wallet. Then I sent my DBETs back to my Trezor (via MEW) hardware wallet.

I am super stoked for this coin. With all the craziness going on in the BTC-BCH world right now, DBET (which is only traded against ETH currently) is a nice refuge.

Also, according to the team who are in Japan for a conference, the new exchange called BitPlus (Japanese) will start out listing 4 coins: BTC, ETH, LTC.... and DBET. And it will do crypto to fiat as well.

Bullish!

Adding the v2 token to your MEW wallet. When adding the Custom Token:

Address: 0x9b68bfae21df5a510931a262cecf63f41338f264
Token Symbol: DBET
Decimals: 18

If you had the old v1 in your MEW, you need to transfer to the DBET wallet first, then in MEW, hit the "minus" sign next to the old custom token in order to use the token symbol DBET for v2.

So I got the DBET's to the DBET wallet and upgraded. You're saying I need to move them back to MEW, and then to another wallet? I haven't tackled the Nano S yet. But I did move some other alts to Exodus.

You can either:

1) Leave them in the DBET wallet, or
2) Send them back to MEW, as they are an ERC-20 token
3) Send them to another wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens

I would not leave any significant amount of funds on any computer you use as a daily work or leisure computer. I am comfortable with MEW because I use a Trezor hardware wallet in conjunction with MEW. This is an additional layer of security, but not a necessity. MEW allows you to "store" crypto via numerous security levels. With a JSON file, a private key, a nano ledger, a trezor, etc. Each has differing levels of security depending on where you store your private key or JSON file, etc.

Bottom line, you can leave them in the DBET wallet, but don't store your passphrase and password in an easily accessible or hack-able location.

Decent.bet is now listed on CoinMarketCap (CMC) website. It is also currently trading on EtherDelta at over 2 times ICO price. This team is rocking it. They are still in Japan conducting conferences, attending meetings, and generating interest. Apparently Blockchain Labo will have the BitPlus exchange operational sometime within the next 2 weeks. Exciting DBET times.
