How many bitcoins are vulnerable to a hypothetical quantum attack?

Conclusion: Together (as of 2018 June 4): 19% addresses (4,242,958 of 22,275,753) that hold 36% of the bitcoins (6,080,090 of 17,072,361) reveal their public keys.

MainNet has launched, and token migration is live again. The issue is that the exchanges are still trading the ERC-20 token so there is no current exchange liquidity for the real Quanta (yet). Oddly, we are at a low 7k sats. Might be a good pick up opportunity, but it could trend down to 5k sats first too, ugh.

This might be the single best article I've read that highlights the need for a blockchain to be Quantum Secure from genesis block. QRL might be years ahead of its time, but it is now here regardless.

I do not have a rig, or otherwise I would be. The team is still working on getting the MainNet quanta listed on exchanges. You'd think the current exchanges trading the ERC-20 token would just do a simple swap, but it isn't as easy as simply on-boarding another ETH token.

I was thinking about grabbing some QRL from Bittrex, but if I understand correctly, they are trading the ERC-20 token and not the actual quanta yet. If I pull the tokens from bittrex and put it on my ledger, i will have to migrate the tokens into quanta at a future date. Is this right?

The whole thing is worth watching, but at around 10:30 he talks about quantum computing.

Correct. I still have ERC-20 tokens myself, and will do the swap to the quanta when 1) major exchanges have made the swap, leaving the ERC-20 tokens worthless/useless, and/or 2) after QRL team has got full ledger support. I know they've been working ledger support for a while and it is a top priority.

Indeed this is good news. And here is the announcement from the QRL team here: https://medium.com/the-quantum-resistant-ledger/bittrex-exchange-migration-proper-liquidity-secured-for-the-qrl-df41045497e3

If you have QRL tokens, then you have about seven days to swap them to the mainnet. I did it today and it took about 45 minutes and I do not know what the hell I'm doing.

Here is the guide: https://docs.theqrl.org/tokenmigration/guide/ . Good luck :)

Got an email from Bittrex that they are delisting QRL on June 21st. Hadn’t checked in on this one in a while.

Did the email state why? I find that a bit odd as they had done months of work by converting the ERC-20 QRL token to the actual QRL coin with its new wallet and complicated structure.

I just found this: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028996652

They aren't delisting, but making QRL (and QTUM among others) unavailable to US customers. QRL will still be available on Bittrex International.

U.S. - the land of innovation... as long as it's pre-approved by the IRS, SEC, FCC, NSA, FBI, DEA, CIA, CFTC, or any future regulatory body that might one day object to US citizens freely trading voluntary assets among themselves.

I have QRL on an MEW that I haven't looked at in a long time. Should I be concerned?

This is the entire text of the email I read. No reason given.

As a valued Bittrex customer, we are writing to inform you that certain markets will no longer be accessible to you as a U.S. Customer.

Specifically, effective June 21, the following markets will no longer be available to U.S. Customers:

QRL

U.S. Customers have a number of different options prior to June 21, including:

Buy or sell Tokens/Coins in all markets currently available to U.S. customers.
Cancel (or cancel-and-replace) open orders: To cancel an order, navigate to the "Orders" page and under "Open Orders" click the red button with an X. To cancel-and-replace an open order, navigate to the markets page for the token and adjust your price to the market price.
Withdraw Assets: Login to https://bittrex.com. Next, please click on the wallets link, search for the desired Token/Coin and click the withdrawal icon to open the withdraw dialog and initiate the normal withdrawal process.

After the change date:

U.S. customers will not be able to buy or sell the above-listed Tokens/Coins that continue to be listed on Bittrex International. Our systems will automatically cancel all open (i.e., unexecuted) orders in the affected markets for U.S. customers.
U.S. customers may withdraw or continue to hold in their Bittrex wallet affected Tokens/Coins for a reasonable time after the market is no longer available to U.S. Customers.

This change does not affect the availability of these markets on Bittrex International for non-U.S. Customers.

If you have any issues or questions, please file a support request at https://support.bittrex.com in order for our team to help assist you further.

For additional information, the related notice is available at: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/ar ... 0028996652 or through our Twitter account https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange
Like other industry participants, we will continue to advocate for laws and regulations that foster innovation.

Thank you,

The Bittrex Support Team

Yes. See ttitle's post from earlier today. Need to swap those tokens over to MainNet QRL.
