That's been the story of BTC for a decade now. Flies up, crashes, flies up to new highs, crashes, rinse, repeat.

Walmart is going to use blockchain to stop the spread of E. coli and other diseases in lettuce

The grocery giants are using the same technology that underpins bitcoin to battle foodborne illnesses such as E. coli.

Suppliers of leafy greens such as romaine lettuce have until Sept. 30, 2019, to comply with systems Walmart has been testing on an IBM blockchain platform for the past 18 months.

"There is no question that there is a strong public-health and business-case for enhanced food traceability," Walmart says.

The last month or so has been hectic. If you saw my charts & graphs prediction in the other thread, you know I'm getting ready for an upcoming bear market and possible retrace to, or even below, $5k BTC. If this happens, it will crush many of the alt-coins that are already down very big from All Time Highs (ATH). There are many who feel we haven't had full capitulation yet in the market and we won't rebound until that time happens. As such, I've moved some of my funds out of crypto and am waiting to potentially get back in on some big dips. I could be totally wrong of course. I still have a lot of funds in crypto, in a few of my favorite alts and such even though they are down, but I have admittedly diversified a bit away from crypto and have liquidated some of my alts that I wasn't 100% behind. Tread carefully out there and best of luck to all. Remember, never put more $$$ into crypto than you can afford to 100% lose.

Nearly $13 billion wiped off of cryptocurrency market as major coins plunge

The price of major cryptocurrencies bitcoin, XRP and ethereum plunged on Thursday.

The move comes after the International Monetary Fund warned that cryptocurrencies "could create new vulnerabilities in the international financial system."

Around $13 billion of value was wiped off of the cryptocurrency market in about three hours.
